3 Ingredient Vegan “Parmesan” Sprinkles

Like any good carb-lover, I crave a bowl of pasta every now and then. Back in my “pregan” days I enjoyed a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese (or at least the cheap stuff that contains wood fiber as filler) on my sketti, but I am reluctant to drop upwards of $6 on a tiny canister of vegan cheesy sprinkles at the specialty store. So, why not make my own?

This recipe is incredibly versatile. I used hemp seeds as the base because that’s what I had sitting around in my cupboard, but any nut or seed would likely work well. Pecans, walnuts, almonds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds… pick your favorite and make tonight pasta night!

3 Ingredient Vegan “Parmesan” Sprinkles

2 tbsp hemp seeds
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/4 of salt, or to taste

  1. Whiz together the hemp seeds and nutritional yeast in a food processor and taste. Add as much salt as you need and you are ready to jam!
