There are some quality vegan jerky products out there, and there are some nasty ones. Luckily, the Wanderfood Vegan Mushroom Jerky by Good Sense Farm is spot-on quality. I had an opportunity to review some of their snacks and I highly recommend these tasty morsels!
Usually, vegan jerky is gluten-based, leaving #gf people in the dust. And even those with soy allergies can’t enjoy other jerkies. This mushroom jerky is super-simply made, completely vegan, and gluten-free. Crimini mushrooms make up the base, dehydrated to perfection for a wonderfully chewy snack. The potent saltiness of the tamari is balanced with molasses, sesame oil, and sesame seeds – with a bit of heat, too!
These are wonderful, natural, and healthy snacks that would be great for any adventurous hike or Netflix binge-fest. You can find Wanderfood jerky on Etsy – and DC folks might be able to find it locally!
